Our Goals

John Wesley, founder of the Methodist Church was concerned about inviting people to experience God’s grace and grow in their knowledge and love of God through disciplined Christian living. He encouraged others to put faith and love into action. It is our objective to provide an atmosphere conducive to that kind of spiritual growth and Christian service. Simply put—love God and love others.

MISSION UPDATE

For the month of August we are going to concentrate on collecting
school supplies for children with the Sybil Smith Family Village and Inner City Mission. If you have items to donate, please bring them by the church office. Remember, school starts August 9.

Food Pantry - canned meat, rice, peanut butter,
and pasta
Mulherin Home - deodorant, toothpaste, & bath soap

LIFESOUTH BLOOD DRIVE
Kingswood will be conducting a blood drive in conjunction with LifeSouth. The date is NEXT Sunday, August 29, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the gym. This blood drive is open to the public as well as our church family.

CHURCH YARD SALE
We are beginning to accept items for our yard sale (Oct. 2). Please contact Danna Carpenter (709-8070) or Debbie Jordan (661-4974) before bringing items to the church.

Kingswood Creative Learning Center will proudly open its doors for the twenty-second time on Thursday, September 2, for Open House, and then again on Tuesday, September 7, for the first official day of this school year. Call Angie McLaney at 666-9644 to find out more about the current openings for twos.
